Ukraine and Latvia will develop joint drones
Ukraine and Latvia are deepening their cooperation in the field of defense technologies. On July 30, representatives of the two countries signed memorandums in Riga that provide for the joint development, production, and testing of unmanned systems.
The documents are intended to facilitate the implementation of investment projects, technology transfer, and the creation of modern infrastructure for testing new developments in Latvia.
The agreements cover the allocation of funds for the production of drones and their components, the strengthening of industrial capacity, and the development of demonstration, testing, and innovation platforms.
The Latvian Ministry of Defense noted that the memorandums lay the foundation for the creation of a competitive ecosystem for unmanned systems and dual-use technologies.
Ukrainian companies with practical experience in the development and application of unmanned technologies will play a special role in this cooperation.

As a reminder, Latvia summoned Russia’s chargé d’affaires and handed him a note of protest following Russia’s strike on Sloviansk, which destroyed the country’s honorary consulate building.
Latvia has banned the import of books, clothing, and toys from Russia and Belarus.
