Ukrainian military personnel will take part in a parade in Brussels for the first time

Ukrainian servicemen will take part for the first time in a military parade marking Belgium’s National Day, which will be held in Brussels on July 21. 

Belgium’s defense minister wrote that he is proud to see a Ukrainian unit at the parade and noted that Ukrainian soldiers will march in this event for the first time.

Belgium’s National Day is celebrated annually on July 21. This date commemorates a key historical event in 1831, when Leopold I swore an oath of allegiance to the Constitution and became the first king of the independent state.

Belgian Defense Minister Theo Franken announced this on X.

As previously reported, Ukrainian servicemen and pilots took part in the traditional parade marking France’s National Day on July 14, which took place on the Champs-Élysées in Paris.
