Night services to Jerusalem

Additionally, on the days of Selichot — Tuesday and Wednesday, September 8–9 and September 15–16, 2026 — night train services will be extended to Jerusalem’s Yitzhak Navon station.

The publication also notes that the planned metro network in the Gush Dan metropolitan area is expected to be largely automated and driverless. Technically, it could operate on weekends and holidays, including Rosh Hashanah, but an NTA representative stressed that the decision on such an operating regime would be made by the political leadership.
