Preparations are underway in Geneva for the signing of an agreement between the U.S. and Iran

The United States and Iran are preparing to sign a peace agreement, which, according to preliminary reports, is scheduled to take place on June 19 in Geneva. If the agreement is indeed finalized, it could be one of the most significant diplomatic moves in recent years. However, there is currently no official final confirmation of the details.

According to Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, the signing ceremony for a potential peace agreement between the US and Iran is scheduled for June 19 and is set to take place in Geneva, Switzerland. He called the potential agreement a “significant breakthrough” which, in his view, could reduce tensions in the region and bring greater stability to global markets.

Diplomatic circles emphasize that mediators from several countries, including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Turkey, played a key role in advancing the negotiations by maintaining contact between the parties and facilitating dialogue. It is also emphasized that for developing countries, any reduction in geopolitical tensions is critically important due to their dependence on energy prices and global markets.

Ishaq Dar stated that he is looking forward to the official signing ceremony in Geneva and views a potential agreement as a step toward lasting peace. He noted: “We look forward to the official signing ceremony on June 19 in Geneva and remain confident that this positive step will pave the way for lasting peace, stability, and shared prosperity for the region and beyond.”

However, in international practice, such agreements typically go through several stages of negotiation, so the final details, format, and even the date itself may still be adjusted during diplomatic consultations.
