Video: A dark spot was spotted on Putin's arm; doctors speculated it might be a mark from an injection
During a video address to schoolchildren and students, a dark spot was noticed on Vladimir Putin’s left hand, which he periodically covered with his right hand. Medical professionals interviewed by The Moscow Times speculated that it could be a bruise resulting from an intravenous injection, though it is impossible to determine the exact cause from the video footage.
In footage of the address, released by the Kremlin press service on September 1, the spot appears in the frame several times as Putin gestures. According to three practicing doctors, its appearance could be consistent with the aftermath of a botched injection. One of the doctors described it as resembling a bruise that could remain visible for about three days after the injection.
The doctors also noted the site of the possible injection. Injections are usually given in the antecubital fossa, where veins are less mobile and located closer to the surface. An injection into the wrist may be given if the veins in the elbow crease have already been used frequently during prolonged intravenous therapy, are inflamed following catheterization, or if rapid administration of the medication is required.
At the same time, in other recent Kremlin video recordings, the marks on Putin’s arm are not visible. Specifically, they are not visible in footage from his meeting with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on September 1 or in the video of his meeting with educators on August 29. However, a similar mark is visible in his greeting to miners, released two days earlier.
This may indicate that some of the Russian president’s video addresses are pre-recorded. However, there is no official information regarding the cause of the mark or Putin’s health.
As a reminder, Putin claimed two fictitious victories for Russia.
Putin also threatened Ukraine with new strikes on its energy infrastructure.
During the summit in Bishkek, the Russian delegation, led by dictator Vladimir Putin, held a meeting with the Chinese delegation, where the Kremlin leader attempted to paint a rosy picture of a shared future for Russia and China to Xi Jinping. But it all turned out to be quite pathetic.
