Video: A freight train fell into a river in Poland
A train accident involving a freight train occurred in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship of Poland. The incident took place on a railway line near the village of Werchomla, where six empty freight cars derailed while the train was in motion. As a result of the accident, part of the train ended up in the Poprad River.
Due to the emergency on the Nowy Sącz–Krynica-Zdrój section, rail traffic has been suspended. The rail operators POLREGIO and PKP Intercity PDP promptly organized alternative bus service for passengers.

Experts are working at the scene to determine the causes of the derailment. So far, there have been no reports of casualties resulting from the accident.
