"Everything points to the fact that a Russian X-101 missile fell in Poland," said Tusk
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated that all available data indicate that a Russian Kh-101 cruise missile fell in the Lublin Voivodeship on the night of July 29–30. He made this announcement during a meeting dedicated to the incident.
According to Tusk, during a massive missile barrage on Ukraine by Russian forces, the missile crashed near the village of Tarnowa-Kolonia. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties or damage.
The prime minister noted that the Polish military and pilots responded promptly to the incident and were prepared to shoot down the missile had it continued its flight.
“Everything indicates that it was a Russian Kh-101 cruise missile,” Tusk said, adding that experts are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the incident.
The head of the Polish government also reported that he had discussed the situation with Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz and Polish President Karol Nawrocki.
