Zelenskyy honored the memory of Ukraine’s fallen defenders

On the Day of Remembrance for the Defenders of Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, together with the senior military leadership, paid tribute to the fallen soldiers. The head of state laid flowers at the Wall of Remembrance for the defenders of Ukraine who died in the Russian-Ukrainian war.

“We cherish the memory of every name, every story, and every hero who is now part of our nation’s great history. We value the heroic deeds of each and every one of them. Eternal memory to the fallen soldiers. Eternal gratitude,” Zelenskyy said.

As noted by the Office of the President, alongside the head of state, Defense Minister Yevhen Khmara, Interior Minister Ivan Vygivskyi, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Ihor Skybyuk, Head of the Office of the President Kyrylo Budanov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Ihor Klymenko, Head of the Security Service of Ukraine Rustem Umerov, and Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate Oleg Ivashchenko.

In Mila, Kyiv Oblast, debris removal efforts continue; the death toll may rise, according to Zelenskyy.

Russian attack on the Bucha district: at least 37 dead.

The first strike in the Bucha district targeted a Defense Forces ammunition depot, according to Zelenskyy.

Zelenskyy announced parity between occupied and liberated territories.
