Meghan Markle shared new photos of her daughter Lilibet ahead of her 5th birthday

The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, celebrated her daughter Princess Lilibet’s fifth birthday and shared new family photos on Instagram. In her post, she shared recent photos of the little girl to mark her 5th birthday and wished her daughter a happy birthday.

In the post, Meghan shared two photos. In the first, Prince Harry is holding Lilibet in his arms, while Meghan stands nearby, smiling. In the second photo, the little girl is walking barefoot in the garden near the family home in Montecito, California. In both photos, Lilibet is wearing an embroidered summer dress, and her long red hair is loose.

“Our dream girl. Happy 5th birthday, Lilibet,” Meghan captioned the photos.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry became parents in May 2019, when their son, Prince Archie, was born in the UK. In January 2020, the couple stepped back from their roles as senior members of the British royal family and moved to California. In June 2021, their daughter Lilibet was born there.

Despite her desire to protect her children from excessive public attention, Meghan has recently been sharing more family moments on social media. After launching her personal Instagram account in 2025, she began posting photos and videos from her family’s life.

In particular, last month the Duchess shared photos from a trip to Disneyland. At the time, a source said the trip was tied to the children’s birthday celebrations.

“They celebrated the children’s birthdays together. The kids rode many rides, and it was a special way for Meghan and her mom, Doria Ragland, to extend Mother’s Day celebrations,” the source said.
