Video: Oleksiy Gorbunov Found Himself in a Scandal After Insulting Olga Sumska
People's Artist of Ukraine Oleksiy Gorbunov found himself at the center of a scandal after he made offensive and obscene remarks in Russian directed at People's Artist of Ukraine Olga Sumska during a live stream on Twitch. The actress publicly responded to her colleague, and a number of Ukrainian artists expressed their support for her.
The stream took place about a month ago and featured blogger Mykola Zalipukha. During the broadcast, Gorbunov mentioned that he had worked with Sumska on several films, but later resorted to obscene comments about her appearance.
Olga Sumska responded to the actor’s remarks on her Instagram. She replied ironically to his comments and questioned the appropriateness of his behavior, urging his interlocutors to “filter their trash talk.”
Afterward, Sumska received support from her colleagues. Actor Taras Tsymbalyuk called her “an incredible person and a very beautiful woman” and noted that he regrets that some members of the profession consider such behavior acceptable.
Rapper Alyona Alyona also expressed her support, writing that “everyone radiates what they’re filled with” and thanking Sumskaya for her “light and kindness.”
Actress Iryna Soponaru also joined the discussion, strongly condemning Gorbunov’s remarks and standing in solidarity with her colleague.
As of now, Oleksiy Gorbunov himself has not publicly commented on the situation and has not responded to either the criticism on social media or Olga Sumskaya’s reply.
