Russia's oil export revenues have reached a four-year high

Russia's oil revenue in March 2026 surged to levels seen at the start of the full-scale invasion.

According to Bloomberg data from March 24, the aggressor’s average daily revenue doubled compared to the start of the year, rising from $135 million to $270 million. The growth in financial revenues is driven by high global energy prices due to the crisis in the Middle East and the easing of U.S. sanctions pressure, which allowed for the resumption of supplies to India at a rate of 1.14 million barrels per day.

The increase in seaborne crude oil exports in the week leading up to March 22 was driven by 37 vessels, which shipped 28.5 million barrels of crude. Despite the windfall profits that bolster the Kremlin’s military spending, analysts note the instability of supplies due to weather conditions and Ukraine’s attacks on oil terminals, particularly the port of Primorsk. Experts emphasize that despite the temporary nature of such revenues, they significantly impact Russia’s ability to continue its aggression.

The price of Russian Urals crude at Indian ports has surged to a record $121.65 per barrel. Since the war began, the cost of Russian crude in India has more than doubled.

Trump got a fuel crisis instead of a quick war.
