Kyiv: Housing affordability has increased due to rising wages
According to new data, despite rising prices for square meters, it has become easier to save up for a one-bedroom apartment in Kyiv due to rising average salaries. The cost of housing on the secondary market has increased by 10% over the year and now stands at about $66 thousand. To purchase it, residents of the capital now need to save their salaries for 7.7 years, which is better than 8.3 years last year.

According to Work.ua, workers, such as car mechanics and tilers, have the most advantageous position in saving for an apartment, as their average salary is UAH 52,500. Thus, they can save up for a one-bedroom apartment in 4.4 years. This emphasizes the importance of analyzing the real affordability of housing on the market, as well as changes in the dynamics of prices and incomes of Ukrainians.
