Mojtaba Khamenei has declared his intention to avenge his murdered father

Iran’s new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, has vowed to avenge his slain father and all those who died in the war. This statement came after the announcement of a ceasefire. Khamenei also said that Iran would take control of the Strait of Hormuz “to a new level.”

Khamenei’s statement was quoted by CNN.

The Iranian leader urged neighboring Arab states along the Persian Gulf to view the “false promises of the devils” with suspicion, adding that Tehran expects a “proper response” from them to demonstrate goodwill. He emphasized that Iran does not seek war but will not relinquish its rights, viewing the entire “Resistance Front” as a single entity.

The statement also demands compensation for all damages caused, as well as restitution for the losses suffered by those killed and wounded in this war. Earlier, Iranian President Pezeshkian called the war “a victory for Iran” and assured that Khamenei had approved the ceasefire and negotiations. For his part, Donald Trump expressed optimism about the possibility of reaching a peace agreement with Iran.

Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei actively participated in negotiations for a two-week ceasefire, despite reports of his critical condition following U.S. attacks. Due to the threat of new strikes, Khamenei communicated with his inner circle exclusively through couriers who delivered written notes from a hospital in the city of Qom.

Despite the declared ceasefire, Iran launched an attack on Bahrain. A series of explosions rocked Manama and the surrounding area, alarming local residents and prompting emergency services to respond immediately.
