An unidentified drone struck a tax office building in Chernihiv region

On the morning of April 7, Russian troops launched an attack on civilian infrastructure in the border town of Novhorod-Siverskyi in the Chernihiv region. 

This was reported by Oleksandr Seliverstov, head of the Novhorod-Siverskyi Regional Military Administration, on Facebook.

An enemy drone struck the State Tax Inspection building, located in the very center of the town.

The strike occurred around 9:30 a.m., when an unidentified UAV was recorded hitting the city center. A powerful explosion caused significant damage to the administrative building and frightened local residents.

“On April 7, 2026, the enemy carried out yet another act of aggression against civilian infrastructure in the border region,” said Oleksandr Seliverstov, head of the Novhorod-Siverskyi District Military Administration. 

He also released the first footage from the scene.

The blast wave from the strike was so powerful that it damaged the facades of nearby residential buildings. Private vehicles belonging to citizens, which were parked near the epicenter of the explosion, were also hit.

The Russians attacked 23 settlements in the Sumy region.

On the morning of Tuesday, April 7, the Russian Armed Forces carried out a targeted terrorist attack against the civilian population of the city of Nikopol in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

Russian invaders are also attacking infrastructure facilities in Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region. Explosions can be heard in the city, and the Ukrainian Air Force has warned of drones appearing over the city. 

In the Kharkiv region, Russian troops are using cluster munitions, which pose a particular threat to civilians.
