Germany is preparing its largest port for war with Russia – Bloomberg

Germany has launched a large-scale effort to adapt civilian infrastructure for military use, allocating 1.35 billion euros to modernize the largest civilian port in Bremerhaven. The project aims to reinforce loading docks to ensure the rapid deployment of heavy equipment, including 60-ton Leopard tanks, to the front lines.

Bloomberg reports this, citing its own sources.

In the event of a Russian attack on Europe, Germany will play a key role in supplying NATO troops thanks to its central geographic location and industrial capacity. In parallel with the port modernization, Berlin is accelerating the formation of the 45th Tank Brigade in Lithuania, whose headquarters is already operational in Vilnius. The brigade’s commander, General Christoph Huber, stated that the unit will defend every inch of the Alliance’s eastern flank, with full deployment scheduled for late 2027. To staff this brigade, the Bundeswehr is redirecting all available resources, underscoring the seriousness of preparations for a potential conflict. In this way, Germany is effectively transforming its logistics network into a strategic rear area for NATO forces in Europe.

Russia may attack Europe when China invades Taiwan, according to the NATO Secretary General.

Dictator Putin, ahead of a meeting with an American delegation comprising U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, stated that Russia is allegedly ready to go to war with Europe but has no such intention.

In the event of a Russian attack on NATO members, the Alliance could launch a preemptive strike against targets on Russian territory, according to Admiral Rob Bauer, Chairman of the NATO Military Committee.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy considers it entirely possible that Russia could open a second front against another European country even before the war in Ukraine ends.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the Russian army could attack a NATO member state within the next five years. This would test the Alliance’s resilience.
