The Russian army continues to use weapons prohibited under international law against Ukraine, including chemical and incendiary munitions. Another such attack was recorded in the frontline town of Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region.
Ukrainian aerial reconnaissance units documented dozens of burning phosphorus munitions falling on residential neighborhoods in the city.
According to the military, the video was filmed by a UAV operator with the call sign “Aurora.” The footage shows a characteristic phenomenon described as “phosphorus rain,” in which hundreds of burning particles slowly descend onto residential buildings.
The military emphasizes that such munitions pose a particular danger:
Critically high combustion temperature—white phosphorus self-ignites in the air and burns at temperatures of up to 800–1,300°C
Large-scale fires—it can burn through roofs and metal structures and cause fires that are difficult to control
Mortal danger to humans—it causes severe burns and serious damage to the respiratory tract
DeepState analysts report an expansion of the combat zone near Kostiantynivka, specifically south of Illinivka and in the infiltration areas from Stupochky and Predtechyne.
According to their data, the “red zone” is expanding and pressure on the city is intensifying, which may indicate a gradual deterioration of the situation in this area.
This was reported bythe “Predator” unit of the Patrol Police Department.
