Russia is facing a shortage of air defense missiles to counter Ukrainian strikes, says Syrskyi

Russian occupation forces are already facing a shortage of missiles for their air defense systems, which significantly reduces their ability to counter Ukrainian weapons.

This was stated by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi during a meeting with Chief of the Defence Staff of the Canadian Armed Forces Jenny Carignan.

According to Syrskyi, systematic strikes on Russian production facilities further weaken the enemy’s air defense capabilities.

“Systematic strikes on Russian production facilities further reduce the capabilities of the enemy’s air defense, which is already experiencing a shortage of missiles to counter Ukrainian unmanned aerial systems and weapons,” he noted.

During the meeting, the Commander-in-Chief also briefed the Canadian side on the situation at the front.

“The situation remains difficult. The enemy has intensified offensive operations along virtually the entire front line. At the same time, the Ukrainian Armed Forces rely on careful planning, innovative solutions, and the effective use of available weapons. As a result, the enemy is suffering losses that exceed its ability to replenish its units,” Syrskyi emphasized.

He thanked Canada for its military assistance to Ukraine, particularly through the Fighter Jet Coalition, the PURL initiative, the NSATU fund, the Czech initiative, and training programs for Ukrainian military personnel.

On the night of April 26, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck an oil refinery in the Russian city of Yaroslavl.

In addition, Ukrainian troops eliminated a group of Russian occupiers on motorcycles who were attempting to break through the front line.

A toxiccloud from the fire in Tuapse reached Anapa.
