Trump advised Starmer to follow the example of the British king for a successful political strategy

U.S. President Donald Trump said that British Prime Minister Keir Starmer should take a cue from King Charles III to achieve better results.

He made these remarks in an interview with Sky News. The American leader noted that he is not sure whether the monarch’s state visit will significantly improve his personal relationship with the British prime minister.

Despite his personal regard for Starmer, Trump was critical of his political decisions, calling his actions in the areas of energy and immigration mistakes. According to the U.S. president, emulating the king’s style of conduct would help the prime minister handle state affairs more effectively. At the same time, Trump expressed admiration for Charles III’s address to the U.S. Congress, calling his speech brilliant and fantastic in both content and delivery.

The American leader emphasized that the British monarch had made an extremely positive impression on him during his visit. However, the question of further cooperation with the Starmer government remains open, as Trump cannot yet predict the impact of the king’s diplomatic efforts on the political dialogue between the countries. This context also touches on broader geopolitical interests, including interaction with partners and Russia’s position in international relations.

Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump expressed sharp dissatisfaction with the signing of a clean energy cooperation agreement between California Governor Gavin Newsom and the British government.

U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the trade agreement between the United States and the United Kingdom “can always be changed,” commenting on the growing tension in relations between the countries.
