Dozens of major Twitter (X) accounts promoting the Trumpist Make America Great Again agenda and other far-right narratives have been registered in Russia, Asia, and Africa, according to The Insider following the launch of the platform’s transparency feature "About this user."
This reveals the extensive reach and spread of far-right propaganda well beyond the United States. The introduction of the transparency tool helped identify suspicious accounts that may have artificial or coordinated origins.
In the future, increased scrutiny by social media platforms over such profiles and intensified efforts to combat disinformation are likely.
