Ukraine could be the main beneficiary of the war in the Persian Gulf – The Telegraph

Ukraine has the potential to derive significant strategic and economic benefits from the confrontation between the United States and Israel and Iran.

British military historian Peter Caddick-Adams writes about this in his column for The Telegraph.

Despite the risks of rising oil prices, which benefit Russia, Kyiv is emerging as a global superpower in the field of unmanned systems, with a production capacity of up to 10 million units per year. Gulf countries are already showing active interest in Ukrainian interceptor drones costing about $2,500, which are capable of effectively and cheaply shooting down Iranian UAVs.

Historian Peter Caddick-Adams notes that the combat experience of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has demonstrated the superiority of innovative technologies over expensive conventional weapons. In particular, Ukrainian specialists have mastered air defense systems, such as the Patriot, better than their allies, utilizing precision and economical shots. Previously signed security agreements with Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE lay the groundwork for large-scale exports of Ukrainian defense solutions. Thus, high professionalism and battle-tested technologies make Ukraine an indispensable partner for states seeking to protect their critical infrastructure from cheap Iranian-made weapons.

As a reminder, Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Saudi Arabia on March 26, where he held a series of important meetings.

Earlier, Zelenskyy stated in an interview with Le Monde that the country is working on exchanging modern interceptor drones for air defense systems from partners in the Middle East.
