Ukraine Receives Part of Patriot Missiles under “Ramstein” Agreements — Zelenskyy

Ukraine has already received part of the missiles for its Patriot air defense systems under the agreements reached during the “Ramstein” meeting, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said. He made the announcement during a joint press conference with Romanian President Nicușor Dan.

According to Zelenskyy, a portion of the PAC-3 missiles that Germany agreed to provide Ukraine at the latest Ramstein meeting arrived on March 10.

At the same time, Zelenskyy noted that deliveries are ongoing, and Ukraine has not yet received all of the planned missiles.

The president also emphasized that Ukraine’s experience in countering Shahed kamikaze drones is unique. Even large stocks of expensive missiles can be quickly depleted during mass drone attacks, he said. For this reason, Zelenskyy stressed, Ukraine’s experience in countering such threats is attracting increasing interest worldwide.

Several countries have expressed readiness to supply Ukraine with additional PAC-3 missiles for the Patriot air defense systems. German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius mentioned this during a press conference of the Group of Five (E5) defense ministers in Kraków on February 20.

Germany has almost fully exhausted its available missile resources for air defense systems that could be allocated to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
