Zelenskyy announced the formation of an anti-ballistic missile coalition involving 13 countries and NATO

Ukraine is working with its European partners to launch the production of anti-ballistic systems in Europe and to form a corresponding defense coalition. Representatives from 13 countries and the Office of the NATO Secretary General participated in the meeting of national security advisors.

In his evening address, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that the initiative is now closer to implementation than ever before. The main goal of the alliance is to strengthen air defense against ballistic threats and establish joint production of countermeasures. The head of state emphasized that the country’s current defense and foreign policy positions are the strongest they have been in recent years, but they must be continuously strengthened.

The Ukrainian side expects that as early as May, the volume of missile deliveries for anti-ballistic systems will meet the terms of previous agreements. Zelenskyy thanked partners for their support and noted that resilience and future victory are a shared goal of Ukraine and the international community. The creation of a specialized coalition is intended to serve as a guarantee of long-term security and the protection of the state’s sovereignty.

Kyiv, together with a number of European countries, has joined a new coalition called CORPUS, designed to make defense procurement more coordinated and effective. Participants plan to exchange experience and technologies and improve supply logistics.

Some of the PAC-2 GEM-T interceptor missiles for Ukraine’s Patriot air defense systems will be manufactured at a new facility in Germany.
