Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the Russian army is losing between 30,000 and 35,000 troops every month. During his address to participants at the Ukraine-NATO Council meeting in Kyiv, he also noted that the total strength of the Russian occupation forces is gradually decreasing due to significant combat losses.

According to the head of state, Ukraine’s positions on the front lines remain strong, and the Defense Forces are gradually retaking occupied territories.

Zelenskyy emphasized that in May, Russian troops “achieved almost no significant results on the battlefield.”

At the same time, he said, the losses of the Russian army are a key indicator. The president noted that the nature of Russian losses has changed over the past year: about 63% are killed, and another 37% are seriously wounded.

“These are enormous, irreparable losses. Even for Russia, this is becoming a serious problem,” he stated.

According to the president, the total strength of the Russian occupation forces is shrinking due to heavy losses.
