EVM launches new electric car UMO 5 with affordable charging costs

EVM has introduced a new electric vehicle, the UMO 5, whose full battery charge from the grid starts at 400 rubles. This equates to approximately 1 ruble per kilometre, significantly cheaper compared to petrol cars, which cost over 6 rubles per kilometre.

The UMO 5 is equipped with a 204 horsepower motor, offers a driving range of 420 km in summer conditions, and supports fast battery charging from 20% to 80% within 30 minutes. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.7 seconds. A standout feature is voice control via the Alice assistant, allowing users to open the trunk, control windows and climate, alongside enhanced navigation and media services tailored to the new vehicle interface.

Priced at 2.4 million rubles, the UMO 5 is competitively positioned in the electric vehicle market in Russia, potentially attracting a broad audience and promoting wider adoption of electric transport.
