New Mercedes-Benz CLA 220 to feature engine from Chinese Geely
The new Mercedes-Benz CLA 220 sedan will be equipped with a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine producing 188 hp, developed by the Chinese company Geely. This iconic model’s adoption of a new powertrain marks a significant move in the market and highlights growing collaboration between automotive brands.
In addition to the petrol engine, the sedan includes an electric motor, which combined with the Chinese engine delivers a total output of 208 hp. This setup enables the car to accelerate to 60 mph in 7.1 seconds.
