Starting June 17, traffic on Verkhovna Rada Boulevard in Kyiv will be partially restricted due to scheduled roadwork. The restrictions will last about two weeks and will affect a section in the Dniprovskyi district of the capital.
City services will work in stages, so traffic on certain sections will be disrupted throughout the day. Drivers are advised to plan their routes in advance to avoid traffic jams and delays.
Scheduled roadwork is set to begin on Verkhovna Rada Boulevard in Kyiv, which will result in partial traffic restrictions on one of the Dnipro District’s key thoroughfares. This applies to the section from Myru Avenue to Budivelnykiv Street, where road crews will be conducting repair and restoration work.
The restrictions will take effect on Wednesday, June 17, and will last through July 1, barring any changes due to weather conditions. Work will be carried out daily from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., which means that traffic may be most congested during the daytime. City authorities emphasize that repairs will be carried out in phases to minimize full road closures. However, even partial restrictions may cause traffic delays, especially during rush hour, when the boulevard is heavily used for transit between residential neighborhoods.
Verkhovna Rada Boulevard is one of the main thoroughfares in the Sotsmisto district and connects to a number of streets and avenues, including Myru Avenue, Budivelnykiv Street, and Heorhii Toropovskyi Street. As a result, even local construction work here quickly affects traffic in the surrounding neighborhoods.
The Kyiv City State Administration (KCSA) asks drivers to be understanding of the temporary inconveniences and to plan detour routes in advance. City authorities assure that the work is aimed at improving the road surface and traffic safety once the repairs are completed. This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv City State Administration (KCSA).
