A drunk truck driver veered off the highway in Darnytsia
In the Darnytskyi district of the capital, the driver of a DAF truck lost control of the vehicle, causing it to knock down concrete barriers and veer off the roadway.
Law enforcement officers quickly arrived at the scene, confirmed that no one was injured, and began investigating the circumstances of the traffic accident. While speaking with the driver, police officers noticed clear signs of alcohol intoxication.

The man agreed to undergo a breathalyzer test using a Drager device, which recorded a blood alcohol concentration of 1.96 per mille—significantly exceeding the legal limit. This level corresponds to moderate to severe intoxication. The police immediately prohibited the offender from operating the vehicle. Administrative reports were filed against the truck driver under Article 124 for a traffic violation that caused an accident, and under Part 1 of Article 130 of the Code of Administrative Offenses for driving while intoxicated.
This was reported by the Kyiv Patrol Police.
