KNEU students were left without electricity and hot water
A critical situation has arisen in the dormitory of the Vadym Hetman Kyiv National Economic University due to a complete shutdown of electricity and hot water.
Students and other residents of the building have been without utilities since yesterday, which has caused serious daily hardships, including the inability to use household appliances and charge mobile devices.
The university administration initially cited scheduled maintenance work on the power lines as the primary reason for the service interruption. However, it later emerged that the university’s significant debt for electricity consumption may have been the real reason for the power outage in the dormitory. Due to the power outage in the dormitory, the water heating system also automatically shut down, so students are currently forced to live without basic amenities and are awaiting an official response from KNEU’s administration and the restoration of power.
