A lawsuit has been filed in Kyiv demanding the removal of an unauthorized restaurant from the Dnipro riverfront
On June 17, the Shevchenkivskyi District Prosecutor’s Office in Kyiv filed a petition with the Commercial Court demanding that a restaurant built without authorization be removed from a municipal land plot in the Dnipro riverfront zone. Prosecutors are also requesting that the property rights to this facility be revoked.
The land plot in question, located on Malozemelna Street in the Darnytskyi district of Kyiv, covers an area of nearly 0.5 hectares and has an estimated value of 33 million hryvnias. This plot is situated within the Dnipro River’s riparian protection zone.

In accordance with land and water legislation, such lands belong to the water fund and are part of Ukraine’s ecological network; they are subject to a special regime of use and restrictions on development.

At the same time, a building with an area of nearly 450 square meters, which is used as a restaurant, has been erected on the aforementioned land plot without proper legal grounds. The Kyiv City Council has not adopted any decisions to transfer the land plot into the ownership or use of any individuals or legal entities, and property rights to the land plot have not been formalized in accordance with the procedure established by law, according to the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office.
