Two female professors in Kyiv were caught taking bribes for admission
Law enforcement officers in the capital detained two female educators who demanded monetary compensation from prospective students in exchange for helping them gain admission to educational institutions.
In the Shevchenkivskyi district, a university associate professor demanded $10,000 from a man of draft age. In exchange for this money, she guaranteed admission to a master’s program to secure a deferment from mobilization, emphasizing that attending classes was not required.

In the Pechersk district, the head of a college’s day program received 30,000 hryvnias for influencing the admissions committee’s decision regarding an applicant’s enrollment.
Both suspects were detained immediately after receiving the funds. Investigators informed them that they were suspected of violating Part 3 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (abuse of influence combined with extortion). Both educators face up to eight years in prison.
