A jacket containing grenades was found near a restaurant in Kyiv
In Kyiv’s Dnipro District, law enforcement officers discovered a jacket containing ammunition near a restaurant. The dangerous items were seized by police; investigators are currently determining how they came to be there and identifying the individuals who may have left them.
Law enforcement received a report about the dangerous find today at around 1:00 p.m. A jacket was found on the railing of the stairs leading to one of the restaurants; inside were two grenade casings and a fuse.
An investigative team from the district police department and bomb disposal experts from the Kyiv Metropolitan Police Headquarters were dispatched to the scene. Police officers seized the dangerous items.
Law enforcement officials are currently determining the legal classification of the items, establishing their origin, and identifying the person who left them. The investigation is ongoing, according to the Kyiv Police.
