There were no protesters on Franko Square in Kyiv this morning
On Ivan Franko Square in downtown Kyiv, where protests have been taking place in recent days, there were no protesters on the morning of July 24. Only a few cardboard signs remained near the fountain, and the square was clean and tidy.
At the same time, access to Bankova Street, where the Office of the President is located, remains blocked and is under guard.
An indefinite protest is scheduled to begin on the evening of July 24. Dmytro Koziatynskyi, a former combat medic with the “Wolves of Da Vinci” battalion, has called on people to participate.
The protests began following personnel changes in the government and the defense sector. The protesters are calling for Mykhailo Fedorov to be reinstated as defense minister.
On Tuesday, July 21, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with former Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov. This was reported by the President’s advisor on communications, Dmytro Lytvyn. He also told reporters that the president is still holding meetings.
Earlier, Dmytro Lytvyn, the President of Ukraine’s communications adviser, announced that Volodymyr Zelenskyy was holding a series of meetings, the results of which and the corresponding decisions would be made public immediately after the conclusion of the last and most important of them.
