Restrictions have been imposed on the capital's roads due to the heat

The capital has temporarily restricted the movement of heavy-duty vehicles due to rising air temperatures. According to the Kyiv Patrol Police, the ban is in effect on days when temperatures reach +28 °C or higher.

The restrictions apply to freight vehicles with a gross vehicle weight exceeding 24 metric tons and an axle load exceeding 7 metric tons. The main goal of these measures is to protect the asphalt road surface from damage caused by high temperatures and heavy vehicles.

Truck drivers are advised to wait out the hot period at specially designated temporary parking areas in highway shoulders or near roadside service facilities. Law enforcement officials will provide further updates on the lifting of these temporary restrictions via their official Telegram channel.
