Oleksandr Gordienko, a lecturer at the International Academy of Public Administration (IAPA), was killed in Kyiv as a result of a Russian strike

Oleksandr Gordienko, a professor at the Faculty of Computer and Information Technologies at the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management (MAUP), was killed during the Russian missile attack on Kyiv on July 24.

MAUP emphasized that Oleksandr Gordienko was a highly qualified lecturer, a dedicated educator and mentor who sincerely shared his knowledge and experience and supported his students and colleagues.

“His work, his humanity, and his contribution to the development of the faculty will forever remain in the memory of all who had the honor of working and studying alongside him. The faculty staff extends its sincere condolences to his family, loved ones, friends, and everyone who knew Oleksandr Mykolayovych,” the academy stated.

The deceased’s wife, Anastasia Gordienko, announced that the funeral service for her husband will take place on July 28 at 11:00 a.m. in the Grand Hall of the Kyiv Crematorium at 16 Baikova Street.

His family also noted that Oleksandr Gordienko loved simple white lilies without any decorative arrangements the most, so they are asking everyone who wishes to pay their last respects to bring these flowers.

Following the ceremony, the family has invited colleagues, friends, and loved ones to a memorial lunch, which will take place at 118 Brozhka Street.

The educational institution’s press office reported the tragic loss.

Earlier, it was reported that on July 24, Eduard Sirenko, the former head of the “Alpha” Center of the Security Service of Ukraine, was killed as a result of a Russian terrorist attack on a drone exhibition in the Bucha district of the Kyiv region. The death of the special services veteran has been reported by military personnel and journalists on social media.
