Ukrainian veterans plan to set a new Guinness World Record on the Dnipro River by pulling a massive barge through the water using only the strength of swimmers.
The team is considering gathering about 100 people who will swim in a chain to pull the barge. The veteran community aims to match or surpass the 2018 record, when a similar vessel in Dubai was pulled by 100 people. The idea is closely tied to the movement’s symbolism: during the sixth M13 FIGHTS tournament, the ring was set up directly on the “Perlenera” barge near the River Station in Kyiv.
The organizers already have experience with similar events: recently in Bukovel, 15 people with amputations successfully pulled two inflatable boats across a lake, carrying children with cancer and injuries.
Artem Grot, founder of the M13 veterans’ movement and a Special Operations Forces veteran, spoke about this in an interview, according to RBC-Ukraine.
The Guinness World Records has officially recognized 11-year-old Anderson Taylor from Cambridge, Illinois, as the world’s youngest museum curator.
In Ahmedabad, the municipal corporation unveiled a giant floral installation made from more than 11,000 live chrysanthemums. The composition, titled “Flower of Unity,” became part of the annual international show and made it into the Guinness World Records.
