Germany extradited to Ukraine a man accused of attempted murder
A 27-year-old man who was wanted internationally for the attempted murder of a patron at a billiards club in Kyiv’s Desnianskyi district in November 2023 was extradited to Ukraine from Germany.
During the altercation, the suspect punched the victim in the head and stabbed him with a knife, then fled the scene. Medical personnel saved the victim’s life.
While wanted by Interpol, in 2024, the man caused a traffic accident while under the influence of alcohol in Hungary and stated that he resided in Germany, from where he was subsequently extradited at the request of Ukrainian law enforcement. He is currently being held in custody without the right to bail.
This was reported by the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office.
Prior to this, a 30-year-old resident of the Vinnytsia region, suspected of organizing the illegal smuggling of men across the state border, was extradited to Ukraine. Upon his return, he was placed in custody.
