In one of the districts of the Kyiv region, the alert remained in effect for more than 24 hours

In the Vyshhorod District of Kyiv Oblast, the air raid alert lasted more than 24 hours straight. It was declared on the evening of September 23 due to the threat of Russian drones and missiles. The all-clear was not given until the evening of September 24. In total, the air raid siren sounded for 24 hours and 6 minutes.

In the Vyshhorod district of the Kyiv region, the air raid alert lasted more than a day without interruption. The warning was issued on September 23 at 8:37 p.m. The reason was the threat of Russian drones and missiles. Residents of the district were urged to stay in safe places and not to ignore the air raid sirens.

The all-clear was given the very next day, on September 24 at 8:43 p.m. Thus, the alert lasted 24 hours and 6 minutes. This means that residents of the Vyshhorod District were effectively under an air raid alert for more than a full day straight. The prolonged air raid alerts in the Kyiv region are linked to the threat of Russian missile and drone strikes. During such attacks, the region may remain at risk even when no aerial targets are detected directly over a specific settlement.

You can monitor changes in the situation and current alerts on Ukraine’s official air raid alert map. At the same time, during an alert, residents are advised not to leave their shelters until the official all-clear is given. Operational updates on missile and drone threats are published by the Ukrainian Air Force, the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, and local authorities.

In the event of a new attack, it is important to follow official announcements specifically. These announcements also provide information on the status of the air defense system, the consequences of strikes, and further recommendations for the public. Kyiv residents can check the official city map for up-to-date information on available shelters. It helps people find the nearest shelter in the event of an air raid alert.

As a reminder, Russia launched a missile attack on Kyiv on the night of September 24, resulting in two deaths and eight injuries.

Earlier, in Sumy, water supply was restricted following an airstrike due to power outages.

We’ll add that drones attacked the temporarily occupied Donetsk and Luhansk regions overnight.
