The Eurovision Director explained the statement regarding Russia's possible return

Eurovision Director Martin Green clarified his remarks regarding Russia’s participation in the song contest, stating that his previous comments had been misinterpreted. The question of Russia’s return to Eurovision remains unresolved in light of the organizers’ current decisions.

Suspilne reported this on May 17.

Responding to this question, the Executive Director of Eurovision noted that the media had misunderstood his remarks regarding Russia’s return to the contest. “My dear colleague has apparently read some misinterpreted information in the press,” he said.

According to Martin Green, there are no plans or negotiations regarding Russia’s return to Eurovision. “So let me be perfectly clear. There are no negotiations underway regarding the return of the Russian broadcaster to Eurovision. And there are no plans in this regard,” Green said.
