Eurovision 2026 could be one of the largest in terms of attendance
The 70th anniversary edition of the Eurovision Song Contest 2026, to be held in Vienna, the capital of Austria, is already generating record-breaking interest from viewers around the world.

Organizers have confirmed the sale of 95,000 tickets, indicating extremely high demand for the event. Fans from 75 countries and territories are expected to attend the contest.
It is also noted that 42% of tickets were purchased by international spectators, underscoring the event’s global nature and its popularity beyond Europe.
Traditionally, the greatest interest in the show comes from:

- Switzerland
- the United States
- France
- Australia
- Czech Republic
- Slovakia
- Netherlands
Among participating countries or potential participants, significant fan interest is also expected from Iceland, Ireland, Spain, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Moldova, and Romania.
Organizers report that spectators from Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Japan, South Africa, the UAE, Hong Kong, and New Zealand also plan to attend the contest. Interest has even been noted from more distant regions, including the Solomon Islands, Paraguay, and Sri Lanka.
Earlier, it was announced who would be commentating on “Eurovision 2026” for Ukrainian viewers alongside longtime host Timur Miroshnychenko.
The organizers of Eurovision 2026 have announced the running order for the semifinals. Ukrainian singer Leleka will take the stage as the 12th performer in the second semifinal. It will take place on May 14 in Vienna.
Over a thousand musicians have signed an open letter calling for a boycott of the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 due to Israel’s participation.
