The Eurovision favorite added a song by a Ukrainian band to their playlist
Danish singer Søren Torpegaard Lund has included the song "Bird Of Pray" by the Ukrainian band Ziferblat in his list of favorite tracks from the entire history of Eurovision. The artist, who is among the top three favorites in this year's contest, shared his personal ranking in a humorous video posted on social media.
This was reported by Glavkom.
On TikTok and Instagram, the artist used a unique rating format, showcasing various household items as a playful warning to anyone who might want to skip these songs. In addition to the song “Ziferblat,” which placed ninth in Switzerland last year, Salvador Sobral’s hit “Amar Pelos Dois”—which won the 2017 contest in Kyiv—made the top list. The Dane also highlighted songs by Loreen, Celine Dion, Anders Frandsen, and the band Ogene.
Søren Torpegaard Lund represents the new wave of the Danish pop scene and consciously chooses to create in his native language. The artist has a reputation as a performer with a warm sound, whose music combines the sincerity of Scandinavian pop with light electronic production. His lyrics often focus on themes of youth and friendship, and his natural, unpretentious image helps attract a wide audience. This style, built on sincerity, has made Soren one of the most notable participants in the upcoming competition.
Earlier, it was announced who would be commentating on “Eurovision 2026” for Ukrainian viewers alongside the show’s longtime host, Timur Miroshnychenko.
The organizers of Eurovision 2026 have announced the running order for the semifinals. Ukrainian singer Leleka will take the stage as the 12th performer in the second semifinal. It will take place on May 14 in Vienna.
Over a thousand musicians have signed an open letter calling for a boycott of the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 due to Israel’s participation.
