Gal Gadot and Jimmy Kimmel played shofars ahead of Rosh Hashanah
In Israel, actress Gal Gadot brought two shofars — ram’s horns blown in synagogues during the holiday ritual — during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Together with host Jimmy Kimmel, she tried to play the instruments shortly before Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, The Jerusalem Post reports.

Gadot appeared on the show to present the film The Runner on Amazon Prime Video. It is a thriller about a woman who runs through London on the orders of a criminal who kidnapped her son and is blackmailing her. According to the publication, the film was released on September 2 and quickly took first place in Amazon rankings.
At the end of the interview, Kimmel congratulated the actress on the holiday and asked about gefilte fish, which is eaten on Rosh Hashanah. Gadot said that she loves the dish with horseradish, with which it is traditionally served. She also said that her family eats apples with honey or honey cake.

Shofar improvisation
The actress explained that she received both shofars from her rabbi. Her instrument was relatively straight, while the shofar for Kimmel was curved and, according to Gadot, more difficult to play.
