Korea Herald: Disney+ is working on a documentary about G-Dragon

Disney+ is working on a documentary about South Korean K-pop artist G-Dragon, with its release expected in 2027. Korea Herald reports, citing an anonymous industry source. According to the source, production is already underway, and members of the film crew began contacting people close to the artist back in July.

Career and influence on K-pop

The film is expected to explore G-Dragon's influence on K-pop, his solo career, and his role as the leader of Big Bang. The exact premiere date has not yet been determined.

A Korea Herald source suggested that production could continue until the conclusion of Big Bang's anniversary world tour marking the group's 20th anniversary. The film's release may be timed to coincide with the end of the tour.

According to the schedule announced by YG Entertainment, the tour will include 33 concerts in 19 cities across 13 countries and is set to conclude in February at Kaohsiung National Stadium in Taiwan. The company may announce additional dates.
