Serhiy Prytula, a well-known Ukrainian volunteer and civic activist, announced an important event in his family.
On Sunday, June 21, the baptism of his youngest son, Mark, took place in Kyiv.
This special family celebration took place among close friends and family within the walls of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.
The volunteer shared rare photos from the solemn event and some details of the ceremony on his official Instagram page.
In the published photos, Serhiy, his wife Kateryna, and little Marko pose in harmonious, light-colored outfits. For this special day, the whole family chose white festive attire.
Holding the ceremony at the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra was a very significant step for the family. In his post, the public figure admitted that he sees special symbolism in the choice of this location.
“Marko literally came to his own christening. Russia is striking our holy site with missiles, but the Lavra lives on and welcomes parishioners. Light will triumph over darkness,” the volunteer wrote beneath the family photos.
