Singer Miley tops Billboard 200 with Bass Persuades album — Rolling Stone

In the United States, singer Miley has topped the Billboard 200 album chart for the first time in more than a decade. Her tenth studio album, Bass Persuades, debuted at number one, earning 61,000 equivalent album units in the week ending September 24.

As Rolling Stone reports, this is the performer’s sixth release to top the Billboard 200 and her first since Bangerz was released in 2013. Overall, Miley has 16 albums in the chart’s top 10, including works released under the name Miley Cyrus and soundtracks issued in the persona of Disney character Hannah Montana.

Sales and streams

Of the 61,000 equivalent units, 47,000 came from album sales, while another 14,000 were streaming equivalent units. This corresponds to 14.22 million official on-demand streams of the album’s tracks.

Initial sales were influenced by 16 vinyl editions, one of which included a bonus track, nine CD versions, six digital variants with additional materials, and a cassette edition.

Other chart positions

Bass Persuades was released on September 18, while its title track was unveiled on September 3. The song debuted at number 35 on the Billboard Hot 100. Miley’s previous album, Something Beautiful, reached number four on the chart dated June 14, 2025.

Ella Langley’s Dandelion took second place on this week’s Billboard 200 with just under 61,000 equivalent units. Riley Green debuted at number three with That’s Just Me, which earned 60,000 units. Beabadoobee entered the top 10 for the first time with Pylon, which debuted at number seven with 35,000 units.
