Olga Sumskaya sought medical attention due to vision problems and reported that she is experiencing symptoms of dry eye syndrome, which has been bothering her more and more recently. The actress appeared at the clinic after her examination and explained that the discomfort had been building up gradually.
People’s Artist of Ukraine Olga Sumskaya shared with her followers that she has recently been experiencing vision problems and was forced to seek medical help. According to the actress, the discomfort in her eyes became more noticeable due to constant work under bright lights, the use of contact lenses, and the strain that had built up over the years. She explained that at first she didn’t pay much attention to it, attributing the symptoms to fatigue, but the condition began to recur more and more often.
Sumskaya said that she has worn contact lenses for most of her life, and her work in the theater and on film sets often takes place under intense lighting, which also affects her eyes. Over time, she began to notice a feeling of dryness, stinging, and fatigue that did not go away even after resting. “I’ve worn lenses my whole life, I work under very bright lights on stage, and it takes its toll. Lately, I’ve started noticing discomfort: my eyes would get tired quickly, and I’d feel dryness, as if there were ‘sand’ in my eyes,” the actress said.
Doctors diagnosed Sumskaya with dry eye syndrome—a common condition that can result from prolonged use of electronic devices, stress, eye strain, and other factors. The actress noted that this is not an isolated case and that many people experience similar symptoms, especially given the fast pace of modern life.
During her visit to the clinic, she underwent a procedure aimed at improving the condition of her eyes and reducing symptoms of dryness. Afterward, Sumskaya addressed her followers with advice to pay closer attention to eye health and not ignore the body’s early warning signs. “Dry eyes are not a minor issue to be ignored.
