Tina Karol canceled her concert at the Palace of Sports

Tina Karol has canceled her solo concert “Love. Tears. Manifesto,” which was scheduled to take place on September 19 at the Kyiv Palace of Sports. The singer attributed the decision to the security situation in the capital and frequent Russian attacks on Kyiv.

Tina Karol announced the cancellation of the concert on her social media accounts. The artist emphasized that the decision was very difficult for her, as preparations for the big show had been underway for several months. According to her, about 300 people had been working on the concert since June. The team had been preparing the stage, performances, music, and other elements of the show. “There’s one reason—the security situation in the capital. Three hundred people have been living and breathing this show since June,” Karol said.

The singer explained that she does not want to gather a large crowd at an event when air raid sirens are regularly sounding and shelling is occurring in Kyiv. “I have no right to gather them for two weeks under a siren that won’t stop. And I have no right to put you in a situation where I can’t guarantee either the show or your safety,” she noted. Karol specifically emphasized that the concert has not been rescheduled for another date. It has been canceled outright.

The singer is struggling with this decision

For Tina Karol, this decision was particularly difficult because, as she said, she has never canceled a concert before. “I’m worried. Because I’ve never canceled a concert in my life. Especially not at the Palace of Sports,” the artist said. Karol also drew attention to the situation in Kyiv. She stated that since August 27, the capital has been living under the constant threat of Russian shelling.

“Because since August 27, Kyiv has been under shelling, living with constant sirens 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. And we don’t know when this will end,” the singer explained. Under these circumstances, the artist is not prepared to take on the responsibility of hosting a large-scale event.

What Will Happen to the Tickets

Tina Karol also explained what people who have already purchased tickets for the concert should do. Tickets can be refunded or exchanged. Details regarding the procedure depend on the service through which the purchase was made. The singer assured that her team is working to ensure that attendees can get their money back or take advantage of the option to exchange their tickets.

This was to be Karol’s first solo concert at the Palace of Sports

The canceled performance was to be a major event for Tina Karol. It was at the Palace of Sports that she planned to hold her grand solo show, “Love. Tears. Manifesto.” The singer had performed at this venue before, but her previous appearances there were not large-scale solo concerts of this format.

So the September performance was to be Karol’s very first solo show at the Palace of Sports. Now, the concert scheduled for September 19 will not take place. The reason was not a change in creative plans or problems with preparations, but the security situation in Kyiv. For the artist and her team, this means several months of preparation have been canceled. For the audience, it means they will need to return or exchange tickets they have already purchased. The singer noted this on Instagram.
