Olya Polyakova spoke candidly about her relationship with her 15-year-old daughter
Ukrainian singer Olya Polyakova spoke candidly for the first time in a long while about her relationship with her younger daughter, 15-year-old Alisa. The artist admitted that her daughter is currently going through a difficult transitional phase, which makes it hard for them to see eye to eye.
According to the singer, 15-year-old Alisa is currently going through a difficult period of growing up. Polyakova admits that she finds it hard to communicate with her daughter, but she is trying to stay positive and believes that things will work out over time.
“It’s not an easy situation. I want to tell all parents of teenagers: let’s stay strong, let’s hang in there. These are our children; we just need to love them. This too shall pass!” said Olya Polyakova.
The singer also said that Alisa categorically refuses to leave Ukraine. Because of this, Polyakova has no plans to leave Kyiv, despite the regular Russian shelling of the capital.
“I can’t leave because I have a child—15-year-old Alisa, who doesn’t want to go abroad or even leave the house. And there’s nothing I can do about it! She tells me, ‘I’m 15 years old—are you going to stuff me into a sack?’ But I can’t leave her alone,” the singer added.
Olya Polyakova has been married to businessman Vadim Buryakovsky since 2004. The couple is raising two daughters—Masha and Alisa.
The singer’s older daughter, Masha Polyakova, lives and studies in the U.S. There, she also married a foreigner, Eden Passarelli.
Her younger daughter, Alisa, was in the United Kingdom at the start of the full-scale invasion but later returned to Ukraine.
Currently, Alisa remains in Ukraine and does not want to leave the country. According to Olya Polyakova, her daughter’s decision is one of the main reasons why the singer continues to stay in Kyiv.
Olya Polyakova spoke about her personal life and her relationship with her daughter on the show “Alone with Glamour.”
As a reminder, the Ukrainian singer Olya Polyakova’s eldest daughter, Masha—who has been living in the U.S. since 2025—moved into a new apartment with her husband, Eden Passarelli.
Another tragedy has struck singer Olya Polyakova’s family. Following a car accident in which her eldest daughter, Maria, was injured, and a Russian “suicide bomber” striking the train on which the artist was traveling with her younger daughter, Alisa, the family lost their beloved pet—a Spitz named Mimi.
