Ukraine will officially participate in Eurovision 2027
Ukraine will compete in the 71st Eurovision Song Contest, which will take place next year in Burgas, Bulgaria. Our country’s participation has been officially confirmed by Suspilne.
Given the security situation and potential winter challenges, the national selection is planned to be held in a modified format. It will be adapted to account for current risks.
Mykola Chernotitsky, chairman of the board of Public Broadcasting, emphasized that the contest remains an important platform for presenting Ukraine to a European audience. According to him, participation helps preserve Ukrainian culture and our position in the global information space.
Oksana Skibinska, Executive Producer of the “Eurovision” Creative Association, also noted that the contest provides an opportunity to showcase Ukrainian culture and artistic identity to Europeans.
Bulgaria will host “Eurovision 2027.” The contest will take place at the “Burgas Arena”: the first semifinal is scheduled for May 11, the second for May 13, and the final for May 15.
At the previous contest, Ukraine was represented by Leleka with the song “Ridnym.” She placed ninth in the final. In total, 26 countries have already confirmed their participation in “Eurovision 2027.”
