Sweden has provided Ukraine with 35 metric tons of power generation equipment

Last week, Sweden delivered 35 metric tons of equipment to the Kyiv, Poltava, and Chernihiv regions. The aid includes generators and other power equipment for these regions of Ukraine.

 

In particular, hospitals in the Kyiv and Poltava regions received stationary diesel generators.

“The backup power supply will help medical teams continue their vital work during power outages. The power transformers delivered to the Chernihiv region will ensure the distribution of electricity and the repair of power grids,” the statement said.

These deliveries will help both medical workers and energy sector employees prepare for disruptions this coming winter amid the war, the Ukrainian Ministry of Energy stated.

As a reminder, Russia is preparing strikes against Ukraine’s energy sector.

The government has allocated over 157 million hryvnias for the energy sectors of the Sumy and Kherson regions.

Earlier, Ukraine proposed an energy truce to Russia.
