Electricity was restored to 13,500 customers in Zaporizhzhia
On August 22, utility workers restored power to 13,500 customers in Zaporizhzhia who had been left without electricity due to a Russian attack that morning. The attack damaged high-voltage power lines, but emergency crews were able to restore power to all those left without electricity by 3:00 p.m.
Zaporizhzhiaoblenergo reported this on Telegram.
“At around 9:00 a.m., the enemy launched another strike on Zaporizhzhia, damaging high-voltage overhead power lines. As soon as the threat of further shelling passed, our crews began restoration work,” the statement said.
Within three hours, utility workers managed to restore power to more than half of the households. As of 3:00 p.m., all 13,500 customers in Zaporizhzhia had their power restored.
Power was also restored to 5,000 customers who had been without power due to technical issues.
